What is an Open Studio Day?
During Artists' Open Studio Days,  held quarterly, on a Sunday, our artists and artisans open their doors and welcome you in to spend time in their studios. Numerous outside Artists, Artisans and Vendors from New York and New Jersey  exhibit and sell their creations at The Monroe Center on Open Studio Day.
Visit our four floors of artist studios, and you will see painters, potters, fabric artists, jewelers, floral designers, musicians, dancers and more. Come and see new art, watch an artist at work, sign-up for a class or purchase an original piece.  Check our calendar  for exact dates --

There is no admission fee. Studios are opened from Noon to 5 p.m.

Here's a small sampling of Monroe Center artists' studios:

Clara’s Creations (Studio E305) Hand illustrated greeting cards, lovely prints and gifts.

Christina Andersen (Studio E506) Christina’s classic European floral designs are elegant yet contemporary, emphasizing unique colors and textures.  

Laura Alexander ( Studio E401B)
Dramatic and evocative oil portraits painted in a loosely realistic style.
 
Katherine Parker (Studio E314a) An Abstract Expressionist with an explosive color field that transmits mystical stories in technicolor narrative.

Jason Jaskot (Studio C403A) Modeling, commercial photography and artfully shot Hoboken night city scenes. 
 
Cynthia Lammers (Studio E401A) Jewelry designs influenced by Victorian, turn of the century and vintage jewelry with a classical spirit. 

Francine Demeulenaere (Studio E-408) Fluid lines that seem to appear and disappear in a magical color collage. Francine has a natural geometric talent that paints magic on canvas.

Robert Policastro (Studio C411) A fine artist, Robert works in rich saturated colors to evoke strong emotions. 

Drew Dernavich (Studio E416B) Cartoonist for the New Yorker Magazine. Also works in acrylic. Paints figures and sensational portraits.
 
Ed Tadiello (Studio E411)  Beautifully detailed and realistic paintings depicting the female form and romantic style portraiture.
